Founded in 1860, the New York County Dental Society is one of the largest groups of dentists in the United States. With more than 2,000 members practicing in Manhattan, NYCDS members have made a special commitment to uphold its ethical code and practice standards, as well as those of New York State and the American Dental Association. Modern Composites: What Every Dentist Needs to Know

Dental composites are essential to everyday clinical dentistry, supporting esthetic and functional outcomes across a wide range of restorative procedures. With growing patient demand for lifelike, durable restorations, selecting the right material has become more critical than ever. Today’s marketplace offers advanced composite systems with unique chemistries, handling properties, and indications—making it vital for clinicians to understand what truly differentiates them.


This lecture and hands-on workshop provide a practical, evidence-based review of the latest composites, adhesives, and light-curing technologies. This program emphasizes material selection, clinical efficiency, and long-term success. Participants will learn to evaluate material properties, set selection criteria, integrate improved protocols into daily practice. 


This course also explores composite injection moulding, a minimally invasive, cost-effective, and predictable approach to esthetic dentistry.  Through digital smile design and a streamlined workflow from planning to final restoration, attendees will work through real-world cases, learn lab communication and stent fabrication, and master step-by-step injection techniques. The focus is on predictability, repeatability, and confidence, helping clinicians deliver exceptional esthetic results with greater efficiency and patient satisfaction.
