An Upgrade is coming for Employers, PEOs, and TPRs
The New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) is upgrading its unemployment insurance system, which will impact employers, third-party representatives (TPRs), and professional employer organizations (PEOs).
The upgrade will begin Monday, 11/02/2026 at 5PM. We expect the upgrade to take 9 to 12 days.
During the upgrade period, you will be unable to access the NYSDOL’s unemployment system either online or by phone.
Tax filing and business registration with New York State will continue uninterrupted.
In this upgraded system, you can:
- Make payments online
- Add and manage third-party representative associations
- View account information, including balances and payment history
- Make account updates, including address and status changes
- View and download experience rating charges
- And more!

During the upgrade period, we recommend you take the actions below. Tax filing and business registration with New York State will continue uninterrupted.
