September is National Preparedness Month, and the Division of Consumer Protection is reminding New Yorkers to prepare for severe weather emergencies and stay alert to scams that can follow a disaster.  Learn how to prepare your family, protect important information, use generators safely, and recognize common scams involving contractors, utilities, government assistance, charities, and phishing.
