Per the notice below, the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has issued a report on the results of the 2025 National Health Care Fraud Takedown.
HHS OIG, along with key Federal and State law enforcement partners,     participated in the 2025 National Health Care Fraud Takedown with $14.6 billion in intended     losses—the largest to date, doubling the prior record of $6 billion.  The     Takedown marks an unprecedented effort to combat health care fraud and     resulted in criminal charges against 324 defendants—including 96 doctors,     nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and other licensed medical     professionals—across 50 Federal Districts and 12 State Attorneys General     Offices for alleged involvement in schemes that exploited patients and     taxpayers.
