Welcome to the New York County Dental Society

Founded in 1860, the New York County Dental Society is one of the largest groups of dentists in the United States. With more than 2,000 members practicing in Manhattan, NYCDS members have made a special commitment to uphold its ethical code and practice standards, as well as those of New York State and the American Dental Association. It is an invaluable advocacy and education resource that protects its members and the public.

"I've been taking CE courses for over 20 years, and I've had the best experience thus far with the NY County Dental Society. The NYC Department of Health Needs Your Feedback: Tobacco Cessation Counseling Survey

Oct 29, 2025
The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene invites you to take part in a brief survey exploring tobacco treatment practices among dentists.

The goal is to better understand what is currently being done in dental settings to support patients who use tobacco, and to identify opportunities to strengthen tobacco cessation efforts in the future.

Your insights are invaluable in helping to assess current practices, challenges, and the types of support or resources that would make it easier for dental professionals to play an active role in tobacco cessation.

Please click the button below to complete the survey

(The survey should take no longer 10 minutes to complete).

Complete Survey!

Your participation will directly contribute to improving oral health outcomes and shaping future initiatives aimed at reducing tobacco use through dental care settings. The first 15 persons to complete will be sent a packet of health education materials!

**Please remember to enter your email address if you would like to be eligible.**

Thank you for your time and for your commitment to advancing oral and overall health.
