Lecture Description:

Implants: the rockstars of dentistry that every clinician is dying to place… until the nightmares hit. Behind the glossy brochures and perfect Instagram cases lurk the ugly truths nobody wants to talk about: peri-implant infections, bone loss, esthetic disasters you can’t fix and the lawsuits that can follow. This course rips the curtain back. No sugar-coating, no sponsor-approved slides; just the raw, unfiltered secrets, complications, and flat-out screw-ups we usually pretend don’t exist (even to ourselves). Walk away knowing exactly what can go wrong, why it goes wrong, and how to stop it from torching your reputation. If you’re tired of learning about implants from reps who’ve never touched a handpiece or surgeons who are on the company's dime, this is the red-pill course you didn’t know you needed.

Learning Objectives:

- Learn about how restoratively-driven implant positioning, angulation and depth are so critical to restorative success
- Understand how different types of hard and soft tissue defects can (and should) prevent successful implant placement
- Better appreciate peri-implantitis, cement-related issues, radiography and how surgical techniques in general affects restorative outcomes
- Know why treatment planning is key to everything
