We refreshed Municipal Profiles! We modernized Municipal Profiles and made it easier to use. Not familiar with Municipal Profiles? It's the Tax Department's tool for finding local contact information and property tax data for your municipality, school district, and county. You’ll find equalization rates, assessment roll dates, statistics, and more. Why would I use Municipal Profiles? ✔ Find the contact information for your assessor and other local officials. You may need to contact your assessor to:
- discuss how your property's assessment was determined
- learn about the assessment process for your municipality, including deadlines
- see what exemptions are available in your area
✔ Get a snapshot of your town or even someplace you hope to live. You can explore answers to questions like, How many parks are in my town? and How many vacant waterfront properties are there in my municipality? ✔ See the equalization rate or residential assessment ratio for your municipality, which you'll need if you're challenging your assessment. ✔ See what types of properties—like golf courses, veterinary clinics, and campgrounds—are in your area, which may be helpful information if you're looking to start a business.
More good news! You can find Municipal Profiles in our new Municipal Data Portal. It's a centralized resource that includes Municipal Profiles and two other modernized property tools: Sales Web for property owners and Rates for School Apportionment for local officials. |
