International HPV Awareness Day

March 4 is International HPV Awareness Day.  HPV, or human papillomavirus, is a common virus that can cause cancers later in life.  While nearly everyone will get HPV at some point in their lives, children can be protected by getting the HPV vaccine at age 11 or 12.  Take the time to understand HPV, including what causes HPV infections and how to prevent them.
