Welcome to the New York County Dental Society

Founded in 1860, the New York County Dental Society is one of the largest dental organizations in the United States. With nearly 2,000 members practicing in Manhattan, NYCDS members have made a special commitment to uphold its ethical code and practice standards, as well as those of New York State and the American Dental Association. Calling All Dentists: Join Our Award-Winning GKAS Event on 2/6/26!

Give Kids a Smile NYCDS is returning on February 6, 2026 — and we need passionate volunteers just like you to help make it an unforgettable day!

This is our largest event of the year and we are excited to add two additional schools at a brand-new site. Our goal this year is to bring healthy smiles to approximately 1,400 underserved children from twelve East Harlem schools. Each child will receive a dental screening, fluoride treatment, and fun oral health education, and connect student with follow-up care when needed.

Dentists and dental staff play a vital role in shaping how these children view dental care, transforming what could be a fearful experience into a one filled with trust, kindness, and positivity.

Your time and talent can truly make a difference. Join us for a meaningful day that’s about more than oral health. It’s about making a lasting impact in the community.
