Founded in 1860, the New York County Dental Society is one of the largest groups of dentists in the United States. With more than 2,000 members practicing in Manhattan, NYCDS members have made a special commitment to uphold its ethical code and practice standards, as well as those of New York State and the American Dental Association. In-Person Workshop: Minimally Invasive Posterior Restorations with Dr. Amelia Orta on 10/10

This course will present the latest advancements and how they can be implemented daily in clinical practice.

Minimally invasive preparations for posterior restorations will be reviewed, demonstrated and practiced with a focus on preparation design, materials selection and cementation. The clinical techniques known as IDS (Immediate Dentin Sealing) & Resin Coating will also be discussed, demonstrated, then practiced as well. The latest advancements in ceramic bonding will also be reviewed and a warm composite cementation technique will be utilized which can provide extremely high bonds for posterior restorations that mimic the strength of the DEJ (dentinoenamel junction).
