This course covers oral ulcerative diseases and the clinical examination of precancerous and cancerous lesions, such as leukoplakia.
In recognition of Oral Cancer Awareness Month, this course highlights the importance of early detection and comprehensive evaluation of oral ulcerative diseases. Participants will learn to conduct thorough clinical examinations of precancerous and cancerous lesions such as leukoplakia, using case-based examples to identify key aspects of patient history, signs, and symptoms. The course also covers current concepts in disease pathogenesis, treatment options, and the role of HPV in oral and tonsillar cancers. Adjunctive tools for early detection of oral cancer and precancerous lesions will also be discussed to support timely and accurate diagnosis.
