Lecture Description:

Difficult cases can be simplified when carefully thought out.  A strong background of proficiency in crown and bridge, precision attachments, restorative dentistry and implants allows the practitioner to choose what is best for the patient, not what the practitioner can do well.  This course will present a unique approach to diagnosis and treatment planning that will offer the practitioner more options to help patients—including patients who are not candidates for sophisticated dentistry.   The approach is evidence-based and numerous case examples will be demonstrated from a library of more than 100,000 slides, digital pictures and X-Rays taken during the past 70 years.

Learning Objectives:

  • A rationale for choosing treatment options

  • How to manage difficult cases such as excessive wear, periodontal bone loss and malocclusions

  • How to restore teeth with little or no clinical crowns

  • When to best utilize fixed restorations, removable restorations and implant restorations

  • About the Double-Tilt Precision Attachment Partial Denture, and why it is often a superior treatment option for both natural tooth and implant abutments

Speaker Biography: Dr. Edward M. Feinberg, DMD

Dr. Edward Feinberg is a graduate of Tufts University and has practiced Dentistry in Scarsdale, New York for more than 33 years. He is the successor to a tradition established in 1948 by Dr. Elliot Feinberg and his predecessor Dr. I. Franklin Miller. This tradition consists of a scientific step-by-step approach to crown and bridgework, precision attachment partial dentures and implant restorations that is documented in a growing collection of more than 100,000 slides, digital pictures and X-Rays dating back to 1950.

Dr. Feinberg is a nationally recognized lecturer and has authored articles for numerous publications.  He is currently a reviewer for the Journal of Oral Implantology and he is the Director of the Westchester Academy of Restorative Dentistry.  In addition to educational activities, Dr. Feinberg has served on 4 Councils of the American Dental Association and currently represents New York State on the ADPAC Council.  He is a Delegate Board Member of the New York State Dental Association and a past president of the Ninth District Dental Association.  Dr. Feinberg is a recipient of the D.
