Welcome to the New York County Dental Society
Founded in 1860, the New York County Dental Society represents one of the largest groups of dentists in the United States. With more than 2,000 members practicing in Manhattan, New York County Dental Society members have made a special commitment to uphold its ethical code and practice standards, as well as those of New York State and the American Dental Association. It is an invaluable advocacy and education resource that protects its members and the public.
We encourage you to explore this site and take advantage of the information, activities, and services the New York County Dental Society offers its members and the general public.
Give Kids A Smile
This year, we held an extremely successful Give Kids A Smile event on February 2, 2018. Over 1,000 children received dental screenings and enjoyed dental-related arts and crafts, learned how to brush teeth by using puppets, and more. We may even have inspired some children to become dentists! It was a wonderful collaborative event for our local community. Thank you to our volunteers for your time and energy to screen, instruct and entertain so many children. They were truly appreciative -- one child excitedly said he had "too much fun!"
If you did volunteer, be sure to track your volunteer hours with the New York State Dental Foundation
