NYSDOL Announces New Regional Minimum Wage Rates

Per the notice below, the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) announces the new minimum wage rates for various regions in New York State.

New Year, New Minimum Wage for Upstate New Yorkers

min wageNew York State's minimum wage has gone up for workers in upstate counties as part of the $15 minimum wage phase-in.  On December 31, workers outside of New York City, Long Island, and Westchester County saw the minimum wage increase by $1 per hour, from $13.20 to $14.20.

A minimum wage increase has also gone into effect for home care aides.  Effective December 31, the minimum wage for home care aides in the same areas of the state increased to $16.20 per hour.
