CDC Highlights Social Determinants of Health and Preventive Health Care

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is highlighting two resources it maintains: 1) a new Web page devoted to social determinants of health; and 2) keeping up to date on preventive health care services.  CDC notes that social determinants of health are the nonmedical factors that influence health outcomes, such as the conditions in which people are born, grow, work, live, and age, and the wider set of forces and systems shaping the conditions of daily life.  CDC also notes that regular dental checkups are a key part of good preventive health care.  To read the CDC highlights on social determinants of health, use the first link below.  To read the CDC highlights on preventive health care, use the second link below.
