HRSA Awards $8 Million to Historically Black Colleges and Universities to Address the HIV Epidemic in Africa
Meharry Medical College in partnership with Howard University College of Medicine, Morehouse School of Medicine, and Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science will address inequities in HIV care and treatment affecting adolescent girls and young women.
October 31 - The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), announced $8 million in funding to Meharry Medical College, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), to improve and expand HIV care and treatment in some U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)-supported countries.

Join us for National Rural Health Day on November 17
We celebrate National Rural Health Day on Thursday, November 17. Join us for a discussion with HRSA Administrator Carole Johnson and other HHS leaders to hear about what the federal government is doing to increase behavioral health equity in rural communities, including substance use disorder treatment.
HRSA grantees will share best practices from their rural work on strengthening mental health, and other presentations will tackle important topics like intimate partner violence and workplace stress.
