NIH Issues Research Findings on COVID-19 Triggering Autoimmune Response

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has issued research findings showing that the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) can trigger an autoimmune response in individuals.  NIH notes that about half of people hospitalized with COVID-19 had antibodies in their blood that could mistakenly attack their body’s own proteins and tissues.  To read the NIH announcement and summary of the research findings on COVID-19 triggering an autoimmune response, use the link below.
