The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued, as part of its latest Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), a report on the safety of vaccines for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in adolescents aged 12-17. CDC notes that adolescents aged 12–17 years had mainly mild local and systemic reactions following receipt of the Pfizer vaccine, and that serious adverse events were rare.
