The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued, as part of its latest Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), a report on novel coronavirus (COVID-19) case and death rates in relation to local county mask requirements. CDC notes that local counties that required use of masks had lowered COVID-19 case and death rates, while local counties that allowed in-person restaurant dining had increased COVID-19 case and death rates.
