FDA Seeks Public Comments on Discussion Paper -- Communicating Cybersecurity Vulnerabilities to Patients: Considerations for a Framework

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is sharing the discussion paper, Communicating Cybersecurity Vulnerabilities to Patients: Considerations for a Framework, for review and comment.  The FDA notes that feedback on the discussion paper will help inform future efforts designed to improve cybersecurity safety communications, including the potential development of a cybersecurity communications framework, and encourages input from patients, patient advocacy organizations, the medical device industry, clinical researchers, and others to assess the best approaches to communicate with patients and caregivers about specific and relevant cybersecurity events that may affect public health.  To read the FDA announcement and summary of its discussion paper on communicating cybersecurity vulnerabilities to patients, and to read the complete discussion paper and file comments on it, use the link below.
