The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has issued a list of activities to celebrate National Patient Safety Awareness Week. In addition, AHRQ has launched two new programs directed towards patient safety: 1) an initiative to provide resources and guidance on how to implement effective team-based opioid management strategies in primary care through health care practices participating in the AHRQ-funded “Six Building Blocks” program; and 2) a free new mobile question building app to help patients be more engaged in their own health care and to help make health care office visits more efficient.
