Lecture Description:
Review the Peer Review process and the importance of Peer Review as a dispute resolution alternative. You will learn the benefit of the process for both the public and the practitioner, and why it is a process that we should embrace. Ultimately, it is one of the most important benefits of membership in NYSDA. There will also be a brief discussion on how to avoid potential conflicts in the future.

Speaker Information:
Dr. Egidio Farone
Dr. Farone is a general dentist practicing in midtown Manhattan. He served on the New York County Dental Society’s Peer Review and Quality Assurance Committee, as a member from 1997 – 2004 and then as chair of the committee from 2005 – 20014. He went on to serve as chair of the New York State Dental Association’s Council on Peer Review and Quality Assurance from 2014 – 2016. Dr. Farone is presently chair-elect of the NY Section of the ACD and treasurer for NYCDS. He has been an attending at the Weill-Cornell Medical Center since 2003.
