Attendees will have a thorough understanding of the threats impacting dental practices across the US and ways of combating them. Relying strictly on your IT company and firewall is no longer sufficient. Every practice that has had a data breach had devices in place to "protect" them. Hacking incidents are much more advanced these days and require a specialty company to help defend your patient records from hackers.
RESULTS: As the amount of data stored in dental computer systems increased, so has the frequency and sophistication of cyberattacks. The days of simply relying on a firewall and anti-virus software to protect a network and patient data is gone. This lecture will highlight the importance of implementing advanced cybersecurity measures in the dental practice.
