ng additional requirements recently signed into law regarding dentist and
sepsis management. This course specifically includes OSHA update for PPE CO
VID-19 recommendations. It is not intended to be a COVID-19 “return to wor
k” course. This requirement is separate from the NYS Mandatory Infection C
ontrol Re-Licensure requirement of every four years for dentists and hygie
nists.OSHA 29CFR Part 1910.1030 States: Personnel subject to Occupational
Exposure should receive Infection Control Training on initial assignment\,
when new tasks or procedures affect their occupational exposure\, and at
minimum annually.OSHA requires at least an annual update for employees and
staff for offices. The courses are updated to reflect most recent infecti
on control and OSHA guidelines\, etc. If the practice owner enrolls their
staff\, the office receives a training completion document\, so they don’t
have to do the training themselves. (Live webinar\, all must be present w

safety data sheets/safety data sheets) labeling requirements and employee
training that required mandatory office compliance after June 1\, 2016\,
including additional documentation requirements. OSHA constantly develops
new solutions and standards to protect employees from injury and illness.
It is the responsibility of employers to stay up-to-date on any OSHA chang
es to remain legally compliant\, or face fines and costly claims that coul
d lead to lawsuits. Dentists and their employees should update themselves
at least annually and place appropriate documentation into their office ma
nuals. The goal of this course is to inform attendees of the OSHA/CDC/ADA c
hanges. The mandatory updates will be discussed in detail with handouts th
at will help guide the practitioner\, hygienist and staff comply with the
mandate that has instituted in 2016\, and any other changes that have occu
rred after that date.Practitioners are encouraged to bring their staff mem
bers to facilitate compliance: otherwise\, practitioners must fabricate th
eir own document acknowledging dissemination of this update to their staff
and place such documentation into the office manual. If an employer brings
staff\, a separate employer/employee training attestation document (that
the employer and staff will sign at the end of the course) will be given t
o the employer to place into their office manual. Employers and their empl
oyees must be present together to sign the attestation document.Speaker Ed
