  attrition in oral pathology foundational knowledge is a natural process a
 fter graduation and board exams due to such factors as relative rarity or 
 even possible lack of identification.  Given there is no mandatory continu
 ing education requirement for oral and maxillofacial pathology in dentistr
 y\, it is imperative to self-select such courses. This lecture aims to pro
 vide the dental practitioner\, regardless of specialty or number of years 
 in practice\, with an overview of the essential features of the common muc
 osal lesions.  The presentation focuses on lesions which are from the main
  categories of inflammatory\, infectious\, immune mediated\, neoplastic\, 
 and oral manifestations of systemic disease.  Upon completion of this refr
 esher course\, the dental professional will be familiar with the features 
 and management of the most common oral lesions to maintain an expected lev
 el of competency.Speaker Information: Dr. Arthi RajanDr. Arthi Rajan is a 
 board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologist who completed her train
 ing at New York Presbyterian Queens. She is currently a Clinical Assistant
  Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology\, Radiolo
 gy and Medicine\, New York University College of Dentistry. In addition to
  making diagnoses at the microscope\, Dr. Rajan sees patients in the Oral 
 Medicine clinic and teaches undergraduate dental students in didactic and
