 .Class Description:Whereas the advent of successful and predictable implan
 t dentistry has had a pronounced impact on the practice of restorative den
 tistry\, the same might not be said for the effect implants have had upon 
 the specialty of Orthodontics.  However\, this presenter feels strongly th
 at a new era of Orthodontic involvement with implants is upon us\, and wil
 l illustrate the fascinating ability of implants to facilitate tooth movem
 ent.The development of implants as useful entities to an Orthodontist\, bo
 th in the techniques of “Direct” and “Indirect Anchorage” will be presente
 d and delineated.  Cases in which implants are used to facilitate treatmen
 t by greater expediency\, ease of manipulation\, streamlined mechanotherap
 y\, elimination of patient compliance and expanding treatment possibilitie
 s will all be illustrated.Learning Objectives: By the end of this course\,

 orageSpeaker Information: Dr. Frank Celenza Dr. Frank Celenza is uniquely 
 certified in both Orthodontics and Periodontics. He received his Periodont
 al certificate from University of Pennsylvania in 1986 and his Orthodontic
  certificate from New York University in 1988. He has authored numerous pu
 blications in the dental literature\, has been involved in Post-Graduate t
 eaching for over 15 years\, and maintains a private practice in Manhattan.
 Dr. Celenza comes from a long line of dentists\; both his father and broth
 er are prosthodontists as well. Dr. Celenza is a father of three and lives
  in New Jersey. He pursues other passions outside of dentistry\, which inc
 lude Sports Car racing\, competitive cycling\, writing and computer techno
