This hands-on course will examine recent research on selecting a NiTi file system. Goals and predictable methods for obtaining clean canals will be discussed, emphasizing the importance of instrument sequence in shaping root canals with a specific form for obturation. The scientific evidence for endodontic excellence will be presented.
The learning objectives include:
• understanding the ability of one file system over the others in preparing canals without procedural
errors;
• determining the objectives of canal instrumentation; and
• how to achieve these objectives with the best NiTi rotary system based on research.
Participants should bring 2 or 3 accessed mature teeth (molars or pre-molars), closed apex, endodontic
explorer, and loupes. Teeth should not be mounted in any stone or acrylic.
RESULTS: This hands-on course will demonstrate the advantages of using the NiTi file system that enables a more accurate, clinically relevant and reproducible method for preparing canals without procedural errors.
This course is partially sponsored by Dentsply Tulsa Dental.
